Place of Employment:    Pennyroyal Mental Health Center

Role with Internship:      Supervisor

Dr. Zachary Meny received his Psy.D. from Midwestern University in Downer’s Grove, Illinois, in 2011, and he completed his internship through the Western Kentucky Psychology Internship Consortium. He stayed on at Pennyroyal Center for a post-doctoral year, and now works in the Center’s Madisonville Clinic. He is licensed to practice in the State of Kentucky, and he sees clients from early childhood to later life stages of adulthood. He especially enjoys psychological testing and working with people contending with anxiety disorders. Additionally, he enjoys treating children with attentional disorders.

Dr. Meny described himself as a generalist, and his theoretical orientation as Cognitive-Behavioral. His style of supervision is collaborative. “I enjoy the process of assisting Pre-Docs and Post-Docs in finding what type of clinician they want to be. I want to assist in teaching ways to integrate oneself into the community and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, physicians, pediatricians, and school staff.”

When Dr. Meny isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He also told us, “I am no good at golf, but love to try.”
