Dr. Anderson serves as Co-Director of WSH’s Multiple Needs program area, serving our geriatric patients throughout the hospital. Dr. Anderson has a special interest in geriatrics, as well as the intersection of forensic psychology and the aging population, severe and persistent mental illness, and psychological assessments. She also serves on the hospital’s Patient Rights Committee.
Dr. Anderson has adopted an assimilative integrated approach in which she relies on psychodynamic theory as her foundation while integrating interventions from other theoretical orientations- primarily dialectical behavior therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. Her supervision style follows the integrated developmental approach, and she adapts her supervision approach to match the needs of her supervisee’s level of experience.
In her spare time, Dr. Anderson enjoys yoga, Pilates, traveling, her family and her Great Dane.
