Her therortical orientation is primarily Psychodynamic Therapy along with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy; however, the techniques used primarily focus on the patient’s needs and what works well for them. Her supervision style is flexible and also focuses on what the supervisee needs.
When she is not at work, she enjoys dabbling in crafts and can be found knitting, needlepointing, or creating a quilt for her new nephew! She also enjoys spending time outdoors with her fiancé and their two dogs. If not working on crafts, she can be found near any body of water in her kayak exploring Western Kentucky.
Empathy has no script. There is no right way or wrong way to do it. It’s simply listening, holding space, withholding judgment, emotionally connecting, and communicating that incredibly healing message of “you’re not alone.” –Brene Brown
