Our internship accepts applicants for four positions from APA-accredited clinical psychology and counseling psychology programs. Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis, if documented clinical coursework and intervention hours are comparable to those from an accredited clinical/counseling program. Applicants from university clinical and counseling programs on an accreditation track will be considered as well, with prior contact from the university training director explaining the school’s training elements and stage in the accreditation process. We have three (3) regular Match slots. The application deadline is November 22nd at 12 AM (CST). A select number of applicants will be invited for interviews. Until further notice, all interviews will be virtual. Practicum requirements must have been completed, with at least 400 hours of AAPI Intervention Hours recorded or projected by the beginning of internship, and at least 100 AAPI Assessment Hours. Each applicant who has not been able to meet the hours will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The doctoral program must certify that the applicant is ready for internship. Due to state policies and regulations governing patient contact in state facilities, we cannot accept applicants with previous felony convictions, or misdemeanor convictions other than traffic offenses. Our internship follows the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s non-discrimination policies. We will consider applicants who have not been able to meet these benchmarks on a case-by-case basis. Additionally, we require APA accreditation of graduate program, or for applicants from university clinical and counseling programs on an accreditation track, prior contact from the university training director explaining the school’s training elements and stage in the accreditation process. We also require absence of previous legal offenses other than traffic-related citations, completion of practicum hours, and certification from doctoral program of internship readiness. |

Other Benefits (please describe): Interns may opt into dental, vision, life, and other menu-driven insurance options, for themselves and for family members, for additional monthly cost. With respect to insurance, interns may choose between plans with higher deductible and reduced provider choice for lower cost and plans with lower deductible and increased provider choice, for additional cost. If interns opt out of coverage due to be covered by spouse or family member's policy, they may choose contributions to a Flexible Spending Account. Interns accrue vacation time off at a rate of 4.62 hours per payroll, not including the first 60 days of employment. Additionally, all staff are given 1 personal day (8 hours) and 1 cultural holiday celebration (8 hours) per year, resulting in a cumulative amount of roughly 112 hours PTO. In addition to this, interns accrue sick leave at a rate of 3.7 hours per payroll, not including the first 60 days of employment, resulting in a cumulative amount of roughly 77 hours sick leave. |
